Everyone who kept up with the 2000 presidential election remembers that historic race. If you were watching the news at the time, you know how close Al Gore was to becoming the nation’s 43rd president. And by his side throughout the whole saga was his wife Tipper Gore.

Indeed, she stuck by her husband throughout his political career. But ultimately, their time together would not last, and after 40 years, Al and Tipper got a divorce.
